Inside Sales/Business Development Associate

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Nurture and grow the West Coast sales territory of NLP in conjunction with west coast team.
  • Candidate will learn NLP’s business model, product mix and customer base, and will then help to develop plans to maximize sales based on this info.
  • Contact potential new customers and engage them regarding NLP. (Work from lists as well as researching potential new customers.)
  • Qualify and develop new leads; passes hotter prospects on to West Coast sales manager.
  • Interact with existing customers with the intention of maintaining/improving relationships and maximizing sales.
  • Log contacts and calls in company database system.
  • Engage in West Coast marketing efforts/campaigns; work with West Coast sales mrg to orchestrate and set up events/presentations for customers/potential customers.
  • May be required to meet with customers and travel if needed.
  • Potential to move into outside sales work after initial start up period.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Commitment to the environment and socially responsible business.
  • Must be able to multi-task and occasionally wear more than one hat.
  • Must be a people person; extremely personable and upbeat; does not take rejection personally.
  • Negotiating skills and experience with corporate strategy
  • Must be proficient with computers.
  • Self motivated.
  • Some sales and/or customer service experience required. Knowledge of paper, print, or graphic design industries is a big plus.
  • Goal-oriented team player; must be an energetic self-starter who works well under minimal supervision.
